I get a Memory Access Violation Error!
LokisSword says...
@HuvaaKoodia - Thanks for trying - can you let me know where you are getting the MAV? Is it on startup or during play? Did you modify Settings.txt? Did you extract the ZIP anywhere odd?
HuvaaKoodia says...
@LokisSword Extracted to desktop. Default settings on. Error in startup. Modifying the settings didn't change this behavior. Neither did running it from C:Additive.

Works for me and the dynamic lighting looks really nice. Its really hard though, managed to kill only a couple of enemies...

@HuvaaKoodia - That's really odd... I've upped a second version with a couple of bug fixes, one of which might of been I had two non-power of 2 texture files. I know some gfx card/drivers don't like those. Could you give the 2nd version a try? I appreciate your time and response! @teeb - Glad its working for you. As above, I've upped a second version with a couple of bug fixes and I've modded some variables to hopefully make it a little more survivable.

@LokisSword Still no luck on my main pc, a newish laptop, but I tried it on an older computer, a laptop as well, and Lo, it works! Albeit a bit slowly. The lighting and screen effects are really nice. Shooting a light source down a dim corridor is always a nice thing to have. The audio assets fit in nicely as well. The gameplay feels like an afterthought in comparison. A timed point system with little indication on what to do and where to go in order to get them points didn't encourage me to go for a higher score. The enemy spawning is wonky as well. They spawn right in front of me, meaning racking a high kill count is no challenge at all, once again deterring any replay value. Recommended actions: -Feedback for scoring points. Visual hud indicators ("Kill - 100p", "30s survival - 500p") and audio cues. -Less obvious spawning for the enemies. They should come from the darkness for a lil surprise. -improved indicators for taking damage as I seemed to die kind of randomly.

I beat it! :D Took a lot of attempts of running around like a madman, but eventually found the exit! ^^ It was good fun! The game looks beautiful, I love the lighting, looks awesome! Would love to see this with some more work done :) The enemies came at you pretty fast, maybe too fast in my opinion :p I'd make them come at you slower but hit harder maybe? I'd also recommend changing the enemy spawners so they wont work if you're looking at them / too close to them, one place I tried to hide was right behind one so they were constantly popping up infront of me! Awesome work though :D

JUMPED OUT OF MY FUCKING CHAIR I HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS A HORROR GAME! Nice job for scaring the absolute shit out of me!
Paper Guy says...
EDIT: Rammed my chair into the desk behind me. Broke my lamp. I think it's safe to say that this game, in my opinion, is the scariest game in the jumpscare genre, next to Slender.
