Day 4(?) Progress report
Progress has been slow, but I've been taking my time with everything, and I've had school I've done 2 rooms in the last 2 days. gonna have to pull my finger out tomorrow, or I'll end up with little more than a tech demo. by Friday. and I still gotta do sound effects for things as well. I'd like to have a story to it as well, but that doesn't seem likely at this rate. moral of the story: puzzle games may be simplistic in design, but they require a lot of thinking and effort in level design The attached image is the starting room. I wanted it to be more cinematic, but that would be kinda dumb to attempt in a few days.

Day 2 progress report!
Day 2! I went out this afternoon so I lost 3ish hours that I should have been working on it. Oh well. Today I continued with my work form yesterday, I started out by re-modelling the colour filter, and the implementing a mirror, which used the exact same model as the filter, but I changed a shader on it. I also changed the way photons work, to make them physics based. I also updated the door opening animations. I also modeled and textured the main antagonist. I also made a quick icon. I also gave the photoniser a hand model to go with it http://i.gyazo.com/addd59dd083e57a7e1d8b5ab9181d465.png http://i.gyazo.com/d9909e33a5b5c25ceda92439f02c38fb.png Tomorrow I'll probably start on making the levels, work on the story. making it playable and such.

Day 1 progress report a little late
I made a load of progress yesterday. I managed to model and texture quite a few things, then coded them in. As it stands I have about half of the puzzle mechanics done. Hopefully today I'll finish them off, a-s that would mean I can spend the rest of the week on level design, story, sounds and polish. This is also my first time using c# for a project, so I'm pretty happy with that. I've pretty much only used javascript with unity before. In the Image I've attached is the photoniser(the gun) this shoots photons. The thing on the wall is the photo conductor, this activates something, like a door (also in the image), when the correctly coloured photon hits it. The purple square is a filter, it changes the colour of a white photon to it's colour, this still needs to be fully modelled though, which will probably be my first task today. The white laser looking thing, is the actual photon. for the walls and floors I just made a basic texture, but I'm thinking of scrapping that and keeping them entirely white. Today I will be finishing off the basic mechanics and making sure all the bugs are ironed out. maybe even getting on to do some sound effects

Hello World!
Hi! long time no lurker first time making. been wanting to do this for a couple of years, but missed 2013's competition because I was on holiday. this year's dates are a little in-ideal as I have school. but I'll manage. The game I'll be making will be a game I've wanted to do for a while, It's heavily inspired by Portal and other sci-fi stuff. In short it's a first person puzzler, but it revolves around light and photons and stuff. Thanks for reading, I hope you see the game later this week!. (hopefully I won't fail miserably)
