A day early, but hey, it was wrapping up and I decided tonight is the night.
This has been a great project, and its been awesome working on this game. I definitely want to continue the work on this afterwards (after a bit of a break!). We shall see how we go though!

Another good night of progress for me, the gun and inventory system was giving me trouble, so I have completely stripped it back and I think the game is all the better for it. Also put in some more ascii guns.

more...Finally some environmental work
Had an idea about using random strings sort of like textures today, I like the effect as implemented. Might make some random colours as well. Also been fiddling with some additional lighting effects (not shown).
So yeah, perhaps its a bit of a waste generating the random strings at world gen rather than being just randomly typed stuff by me but hey, this game is about randomly generated stuff I guess?
Christ I've just come up from a coding daze. I feel like a serial killer coming around from a murder spree except instead of blood on my hands, theres code. So much code, everywhere...code..
more...More work tonight, monsters now attack with glowing cubes
Been hitting the milestones tonight, got a good amount done. Just gonna sort out some of the monster and gun algorithms and I've hit tonights goals.
Second screenshot from me, really need to come up with some ideas for environmental textures. That and a setting I suppose.
